Daeil is a cinematographer, director, and writer with a passion for crafting visually striking, emotionally resonant stories. A proud USC alumnus, he continues to give back to the film community by mentoring up-and-coming filmmakers and collaborating closely with the USC film program. His work explores the depth of human emotion, focusing on vulnerability, resilience, and the strength that lies within raw, honest storytelling.
As the Co-founder of Xylograph Films, Daeil has built more than just a production company—he’s grown a creative hub for bold, independent filmmaking. Under his leadership, Xylograph Films has become a platform for powerful narratives and meaningful collaborations, helping elevate new voices while continuing to push cinematic boundaries.
Whether behind the camera or developing original scripts, Daeil remains driven by one core mission: to create stories that connect, challenge, and leave a lasting impact.
